According to legend, lady kisses were born in the mid-19th century, following King Vittorio Emanuele's request for a new dessert, promptly met by one of the patisserie chefs of the Royal House of Savoy. The kisses were such a huge success that they soon found their way onto the tables of the Italian courts. Time consolidated the fame of this sweet speciality, with its fragrant consistency and full yet delicate aroma, which is also well-known and held in the highest esteem abroad.
